It's Easy to Earn the Higher Rate
Qualifying for your Peak Rewards automatically qualifies you for the highest Peak Rewards Savings rate, too. Enrollments must be in place and all of the following transactions and activities must post and settle to your Peak Rewards Plus checking account during each monthly qualification cycle:
- At least 1 bill pay or ACH payment transaction
- At least 12 debit card purchases
- Be enrolled in and review eStatements
And if you don’t meet these qualifications, don’t worry — your accounts are still free.
Plus, you’ll still earn our base rate on Peak Rewards Savings. And you can get right back to earning your full rewards the very next cycle that you qualify.
Qualification Information:
Account transactions and activities may take one or more days to post and settle to the account and all must do so during the Monthly Qualification Cycle in order to qualify for the account's rewards. The following activities do not count toward earning account rewards: ATM-processed transactions, transfers between accounts, and debit card purchases processed by merchants and received by our credit union as ATM transactions. Transactions bundled together by merchants and received by our institution as a single transaction count as a single transaction for the purpose of earning account rewards.
"Monthly Qualification Cycle" applicable to the Peak Rewards Checking and Peak Rewards Plus Checking accounts is defined as a period beginning the first day of the current statement cycle and ending the close of the current statement cycle. Contact one of our member service representatives for specific Monthly Qualification Cycle dates.
Reward Information:
When your Peak Rewards Checking account qualifications are met during a Monthly Qualification Cycle, daily balances up to and including $10,000 in your Peak Rewards Checking account earn a dividend rate of 3.928% resulting in an APY of 4.00%; and daily balances over $10,000 earn a dividend rate of 0.01% on the portion of the daily balance over $10,000, resulting in a range from 4.00% to 0.37% APY depending on the account's daily balance.
You will receive reimbursements up to an aggregate total of $10 for nationwide ATM withdrawal fees incurred within your Peak Rewards Checking account during that Monthly Qualification Cycle. We reimburse ATM withdrawal fees based on estimates when the withdrawal information we receive does not identify the ATM withdrawal fee. ATM receipt must be presented for reimbursement of an individual ATM fee of $5.00 or higher. If you have not received an appropriate reimbursement, we will adjust the reimbursement amount if we receive the transaction receipt within sixty (60) calendar days of the withdrawal transaction.
When your Peak Rewards Checking qualifications are not met, the dividend rate earned on the account's entire daily balance will be 0.01% APR, resulting in an annual percentage yield of 0.01% APY and ATM withdrawal fees are not refunded.
Peak Rewards Savings: The Peak Rewards Savings APYs may be less than Peak Rewards Checking APYs. If qualifications in Peak Rewards Checking are met each monthly qualification cycle: (1) balances up to $10,000 in Peak Rewards Savings receive an APY of 3.00%; and (2) balances over $10,000 in Peak Rewards Savings earn 0.01% dividends rate on portion of balance over $10,000, resulting in 3.00% to 0.28% APY depending on the balance. If qualifications are not met on Peak Rewards Checking, all balances in Peak Rewards Savings earn 0.01% APY.
Dividends will be credited to your Peak Rewards SAvings account on the first day of the following statement cycle. Nationwide ATM withdrawal fee reimbursements will be credited to your account on the first day of the following statement cycle.
APY = Annual Percentage Yield. APYs accurate as of 7/01/24.
APY calculations are based on an assumed statement cycle of thirty-one (31) days. The advertised Peak Rewards Checking APY is based on compounding dividends. Dividends earned in Peak Rewards Checking are automatically transferred to Peak Rewards Savings each statement cycle and do not compound. Actual dividends amount paid may be less than advertised Peak Rewards Checking APY. The Peak Rewards Savings APYs may be less than Peak Rewards Checking APYs.
Rates, rewards, and bonuses, if any, are variable and may change after the account is opened without notice to you. No minimum balance is required to earn or receive the account's rewards. Rewards less than a penny cannot be distributed. Fees may reduce earnings.
